The ability to map network switches, DVRs, etc. and then export them as part of the bill of materials would allow the entire system to be designed in the tool, rather than only the cameras.54 votes
We have added DVR, network switches, cables in the test version 9.2. Bill of materials is not yet there but it is planned.
Support cameras like AXIS M3006-V with fish-eye lens

It would be useful if the software could either 'guess' the location of walls on a 2D drawing e.g. architecturals, and put walls over it.
Alternatively, when using the drawing tools within JVSG, allow it to automatically highlight an underlying wall such that you would only need to click on each wall, rather than specify endpoints etc.
This would be a much faster way of turning drawings into a 3D model.36 votes
It would be great to have a Mac compatible version31 votes
Thanks. Just a small comment:
Right now it is possible to run the program on Macs using
- Parallels Desktop + Windows
- Windows installed via BootCamp
Add all the Avigilon Cameras, including the Multi-sensors26 votes
The possibility to add to a scaled background azimuth and Google type coordinates,, for outdoor cameras. All other cameras will get their coordinates automaticly. The coordinates will be added as an option to the list.20 votes

Just an idea to enhance your great software, can the following objects be
added to the site plan
Full height Turnstile gate
Half height Turnstile gate
Hydraulic Road Blocker
Reader + Reader Pole
Tower where a camera can be installed
Pole where camera can be installed

It would be nice if I could draw a box where I would like to have a specific resolution achieved and have the program calculate how much of it has been achieved.
For example if I wanted the parking lot to be X pix/m and I drew a box over the entire parking area and then layed out cameras and the program calculated I had achieved 96% coverage at X pix/m
or better then this is something I could bring forward for funding to improve the cameras and something measurable for upper management.
A simple way to deal with multiple levels of a building.
Not sure if im just missing a option14 votes
have a Ceiling Height area,
and have the option to add walls around that area, upwards or downwards, this would be quicker to create a room and rooms within larger room, and a drop down ceiling.
Wall option to same ceiling height
Also within the 3D you see the ceiling.13 votes
It would be great if I could draw a wall on top of a background exactly where I wanted to draw it as opposed to having to zoom in a ton to move the wall to a location that is in between two lines on the background. If not zoomed in so the drawn wall is thinner than the wall on the floor plan, the drawn wall will be placed on the left or right of the drawn wall much like snap to guides in other graphics programs.13 votes
This tool allows us to differentiate our proposals from competitors' by showing a 'what-if' view to customers and help them understand exactly what the end-product will show.
The 3D models are particularly useful in this regard. It would be nice to 'record' a flythrough that could be sent to a customer or put on Youtube etc. rather than a flat-image.
I appreciate much of this is 'pizazz' and for show rather than of genuine technical value, but if we are going to invest a lot of time in quoting, the 'wow factor' is important in some cases.13 votes
It would be great to have an android version for use on a tablet when on a site - even if its just a version that allows the user to edit the design previously completed on a desktop or laptop.13 votes
- Don't see your idea?
